Private Security Patrol Shotgun Qualification Course
Are you a DPSST certified armed security professional and want the skills and certification to legally and safely carry a patrol shotgun on duty?
Our introductory class will familiarize the security professional with the fundamentals of working with a shotgun responsibly. By the end of this class we aim to provide the end user with the necessary knowledge and skills to be a safe and effective shotgun security operator. Individual coaching on the range to reinforce responsible and confident shotgun utilization will be provided.
Armed security professionals certified through the state of Oregon DPSST are now required under House Bill 2527 to complete a firearms qualification training every year for each firearm make, model, and caliber that the armed private security professional will possess or have access to while performing private security services. All passing participants will receive an Oregon Private Security Firearm Qualification Card.
This class is a total of 16-hours of training delivered over two days. One day will be classroom instruction. Classroom training materials will be provided by NWDA. The second day will be on the range demonstrating and honing skills before shooting the qualifier.

Range suitable attire (Closed toe, leather upper footwear, warm/breathable material clothing as appropriate for the possible weather, long-pants must be worn year round)

Patrol shotgun (semi-auto or pump) with sling
200+ rounds ammunition (100 rounds of slug 100 rounds of 00 buck)

Basic medical kit to include: gloves, gauze, and tourniquet
Body armor sufficient to defeat common shotgun ammunition
